...two rooms and a host of beautiful products, and you have yourself a successful summer series of pop ups!
Saturday 2nd August was the fourth and final Southbank Series POP UP, and was all about the handmade and bespoke. Tailoring their products just for you, the designers were the proud makers of bespoke garments, jewellery, bags and accessories.
We were privileged to be joined by the following designers; Sara - Shenair Designs; Gina - PIPÉT; Ozie - Solomon Appollo and Vicky Davies.
PIPÉT
Scarves and accessories from the archive collections.
Being present at each of the events I have had lots of fun experimenting with visual merchandising and layout of my space, carefully curating different POP UP experiences each time. This final event gave guests the opportunity to delve into my archive collection of scarves, displaying pieces from my last five collections.
PIPÉT scarves and pocket squares are 100% silk crepe de chine and silk twill. All printed in England in limited editions, the panels are then individually cut, sewn and hand finished by a specialist maker right here in London.

Creating a shop-in-shop experience customers were invited into my world of scarves where they were wrapped in colourful walls of beautiful draping silks!
It was wonderful to bring out all of the designs from past collections and talk about the inspirations behind each of the prints and patterns.
Its been a fantastic season, and I'm now looking forward to the exciting forthcoming launch of my new AW collection next month!
Shenair Designs
Shenair Designs is an independently run clothing label that prides itself on producing a range of stylish, beautiful & distinguished ladies and menswear.
Sara Shenair designs, cuts and sews each of her garments from her home studio in East London, selling on-line and direct to customers through bespoke commissions.
Alongside her dresses and accessories, Shenair Designs also makes skirts, trousers and shirts for both men and Women. As a special event promotion Sara was offering the design consultation free of charge to all visitors!

Solomon Appollo
Solomon Appollo is a London based British Luxury brand launched in 2008 by designer Ozie Amadi, a graduate of London College of Fashion.
With an aesthetic that can be described as "Afropean", designer Ozie merges sophisticated European style with African heritage in her collections.
Made by Ozie herself, Solomon Appollo bags use fine leather in rich sophisticated tones (making them work beautifully with all of your outfits) and incorporate a hidden flash of bright patterned fabric or solid colour lining each item.
Happy to make bespoke, Ozie will gladly consider to make an item especially for you with your desired colour or printed fabric lining. Just for you - or perfect for a gift too!
With an impressive attention to detail it was fantastic to see up close all the aspects (such as the variety of clever clasp mechanisms) that make each bag so special.
Vicky Davies
Contemporary jeweller Vicky Davies draws inspiration from both antique and ethnic jewellery which is then channelled and worked in a modern fashion. Exploring different traditions has resulted in her jewellery using images, symbols and materials which can affect the wearer on a poetic and unconscious level, each piece being worn as an amulet or talisman.
Working in London for over two decades, Vicky is a highly skilled and experienced jeweller. Making each of her pieces by hand from her studio, Vicky sells to some of the UK's top stores including Fortnum and Mason and Fenwick's.

I was delighted to have Vicky's collection at the POP UP. From plain silver to semi precious stones there was a great selection to choose from at the show. I've been a fan of Vicky's designs for several years, and fell in love with every piece I tried on!

With planning starting back in May, the last 4 months have flown by, and the shows are over before I know it. A big thank you and congratulations to all the talented designers that participated in the events, and huge thanks to all the visitors and guests that came and supported each of our small businesses.
