Brutalist Beauty - The New 'Barbican' Range

Posted on

New for Autumn Winter 2017-18

We are excited to introduce you to our unique range of Women and Men’s accessories in our new ‘Barbican’ collection.  Following the success of the exciting Fashion and Textile Museum scarf, this is the second in an expanding series of architecture scarves inspired by London’s cultural and influential design icons.

Exploring the geometric shapes that decorate the city, our latest collection takes its inspiration from London’s Brutalist icon - The Barbican.

Pipet Barbican Inspiration

Focusing on the geometric play and repetitive structural arrangements that create this residential fortress, designer Gina Pipét takes a more feminine and decorative look at the simple Arch - a shape seen so prominently in the barrel vaulted roof of the impressive Frobisher Crescent.

"Analysing each of the many buildings, it became apparent that this busy and intriguing creation was made up of a few simple geometric shapes magnificently arranged. Looking at the stacked and repeated forms, one element in particular became the inspiration for a whole collection of prints - the simple arch". Gina Pipét.

Available in 3 opulent colourways, the range features a selection of Women’s Square and Skinny silk scarves, Men’s twill Pocket Squares and our brand new full length Umbrellas.

Celebrating fine British craftsmanship all our products are printed and handmade in England. Produced  in small quantities each item is made to the highest standard ensuring exclusivity and uniqueness in every piece.
