About

Pipet Design is a contemporary textile and accessories studio built around print, pattern, and thoughtful craftsmanship. Founded in 2012 by British designer Gina Pipet, all designs are created in-house from her private studio in East London, UK.

About Gina

Gina began her design career at Liberty London, where she spent many years developing luxury products and contributing to some of the brand’s most recognised print collections. In the years that followed she joined AllSaints as senior menswear product developer, gaining extensive experience in product development, sourcing, and manufacturing. Drawing on this industry knowledge, Gina launched her eponymous label Pipet in 2012, combining her expertise in fashion, textiles, and craftsmanship into an independent creative studio.

Inspired by travel, architecture, and the visual language of urban landscapes, her textiles are known for confident colour, sophisticated geometric forms, and a refined sense of composition. Trained in printed textiles at Winchester School of Art, Gina developed her distinctive visual language through a background in fine art, textiles, and photography. Her work draws on a love of traditional repeating patterns combined with the bold geometry and play of Op Art. This blend of heritage pattern design and contemporary visual exploration continues to shape the studio’s recognisable aesthetic.

A Thoughtful Studio Rooted in Slow Luxury

Gina’s studio is built on the principle of beautifully considered design. Every printed textile, scarf, and bespoke fabric begins with a carefully considered process — from the initial artwork to the final material selection. Her work reflects a quieter, more modern form of luxury, shaped by craftsmanship, attention to detail, and meaningful design rather than mass production. Original hand-drawn patterns are developed into timeless textile collections, digitally printed in small quantities to minimise waste while achieving exceptional depth of colour and detail.

Material choice is central to Gina’s practice. Natural fibre fabrics are prioritised wherever possible, selected not only for their beauty and quality but also for their longevity and more responsible lifecycle. Linen, cotton, and silk are chosen with both practicality and sustainability in mind, while specialist FR and performance fabrics can also be sourced for commercial projects where durability is essential. Every piece created by the studio is designed to feel personal, purposeful, and made to last — an approach that celebrates the value of slower, more thoughtful making.

Craftsmanship, Experience & Creative Heritage

With over two decades of experience in luxury textiles, interiors, and product development, Gina brings a deep understanding of design, production, and craftsmanship to every project. Her background working within the high-end creative industry has shaped a studio practice grounded in quality, collaboration, and attention to detail. Over the years she has developed long-standing relationships with specialist printers, makers, and small manufacturers whose expertise supports the production of each collection.

Rather than relying on large-scale manufacturing, Gina chooses to work closely with trusted artisans and independent producers who share her values of care and integrity. Fabrics are often printed in limited runs to reduce waste and maintain exclusivity, before being hand-finished in the studio or completed by skilled makers. This thoughtful way of working allows every project to retain a strong sense of craftsmanship and individuality, resulting in textiles and products that feel authentic, tactile, and beautifully considered.

Bespoke Textile Design & Creative Services

Alongside her own collections, Gina offers bespoke textile design services for interior designers, boutique brands, architects, and private clients seeking original and thoughtfully produced fabrics. Projects range from recolouring existing designs to developing entirely custom collections for interiors, fashion accessories, hospitality spaces, and limited-edition products. Each commission is approached collaboratively, with careful consideration given to the client’s vision, the intended application, and the most suitable materials and production methods.

Working directly with Gina allows clients to create truly unique textiles in responsible quantities, without the limitations of mass production. Her studio supports every stage of the process, from concept development and sampling through to sourcing, print production, and finishing. Whether creating bespoke silk scarves, statement interior fabrics, or custom printed textiles for commercial projects, Gina combines creative expertise with extensive technical knowledge to deliver beautifully crafted products with a high level of finish and attention to detail.
